Anne Hoffman

LCSW | Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. I work with individuals who want to better understand their emotions, feel more grounded, and create meaningful and lasting change.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and substance use concerns. I have extensive experience working with adult children of alcoholics and individuals healing from emotionally neglectful or unpredictable childhood environments. Many of my clients are working through the lasting effects of complex trauma, including people-pleasing, self-doubt, and difficulty feeling safe or fully themselves.

I also have a particular interest in helping men develop a deeper understanding of their emotions and build more authentic relationships.

My approach is grounded in Gestalt therapy, which focuses on increasing self-awareness and understanding how thoughts, emotions, and body experiences connect in the present moment. I integrate mindfulness, self-compassion, and experiential work to support meaningful growth and lasting change.

Clients often appreciate my honest and straightforward style. I balance openness and directness with genuine respect and care, creating a space where you can explore difficult experiences while feeling supported and understood.

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to each individual. My style is warm, engaged, and thoughtful, with gentle but meaningful interventions at a pace that feels right for you.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a producer and journalist, and I bring a multicultural perspective and deep curiosity about people's stories into my work.

I accept Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, United/Optum, Quest, & IBX insurances.

I am available for telehealth.
