Cleopatre Paulvin

LPC | Licensed Professional Counselor

As a trauma-informed and person-centered therapist, I work towards creating a space of safety and understanding. My main goal is to help you increase your self-awareness and coping skills in order to live a more fulfilled life. I have professional experience working with a variety of different approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I strive to help my clients focus on building willingness and acceptance, working towards acting on values, and focusing on better understanding and accepting their emotions. Additionally, my theoretical framework highlights the importance of utilizing a multicultural lens with an emphasis on social justice. As humans, we all must explore the lessons and messages we’ve learned from our communities and cultures, as this awareness helps us to identify the sources of our distress. Due to my training and experience, I work with clients who range from 10-65 years old with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, institutionalized racism, sexual abuse, trauma, and experience family stressors.

At this moment, you may be experiencing distress, anxiety, depression and/or suffering from trauma. I honor and support your journey towards healing through therapy. I wish to value your strength and the courage that is displayed and assist you in moving forward from the confusion and pain you’re experiencing. Ultimately, I focus on ensuring that I use the approach that would be most helpful to you. I will do so by working towards helping you process your trauma experiences and guiding and supporting you to share your stories, free of shame and judgment. When we combine vulnerability, trust, and safety, we can truly heal. There is always strength and power in your story. I hope to meet you soon and explore together.
