You are the sky. Everything else - it’s just the weather.”

Sometimes life is challenging: situationally, emotionally, spiritually. Sometimes you can pinpoint the issue; while other times it may be hard to identify, and even more difficult to understand your thoughts, feelings, & everything that comes with them. I believe as a clinician, it is so important to encourage people to feel their feelings with self-compassion. One of my favorite things to do in therapy is to work with clients to mindfully deal with these difficult emotions - to ride the wave and not let it consume you.

My approach to therapy is empowering, understanding, and direct. I love to encourage and challenge my clients, while meeting them where they are and allowing them to lead me where they want to go. Most importantly, I believe the therapeutic relationship is key to any type of therapy. As a therapist, you could have the best interventions and say the most insightful things, but without having a connection with your client, none of that matters. Creating a safe, authentic, and collaborative space where you can express yourself without judgement is my goal.

As a couples therapist, I love to work with clients to explore expectations, patterns, and triggers within their relationships. Ultimately, my goal is to facilitate a connection, communication, and increased understanding between you and your partner.

I primarily work with individuals and couples experiencing life stressors/transitions, relationship issues/trauma, self-critical thinking, low self-esteem, and anxiety.
