LPC | Licensed Professional Counselor

As a Therapist, I have been continuously amazed with the resiliency and insight others are able to develop and uncover within themselves with the guidance of a professional. My goal as a clinician is to foster productive connections that work towards healing and improvement in personal wellbeing and agency. I always regard clients as the “experts on their lives” and treat the quality of the therapeutic relationship as the most important factor in treatment success.

As a clinician with a Master’s in Social Work, I operate from a “person-in-environment” perspective, where each individual situation is considered in the context of family of origin, racial, ethnic, cultural, and spiritual identities. My areas of expertise are those who live with depression, anxiety, impulsivity, addictive or compulsive behaviors such as non-suicidal self injury, and those who are recovering from the effects of traumatic experiences and relationships.

In my work in various Community Mental Health settings, I have worked with individuals, couples, children and adolescents, and families with histories of complex trauma, substance use, grief and loss, and disrupted attachments in their families of origin. I work from an eclectic perspective, using principles of attachment, humanism, Eco-Systemic Family Therapy, DBT, and CBT. I have also worked with high-risk populations who struggle with chronic suicidality and have navigated multifaceted systems of care. In my work I have facilitated the empowerment of others to live in authenticity and look forward to working with you if you decide to embark on that journey.

I accept Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, Quest, & United/Optum Insurances.
