Kara Lacey

LMFT | Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Being a human comes with all sorts of challenging and rewarding experiences. Sometimes, those experiences are overwhelming, confusing, and emotionally exhausting. I believe that people are resilient and have the ability for change. My approach to therapy is collaborative, with a focus on self-exploration, increasing insight, and empowering a person to be the best version of themselves.

I am a systemically-trained therapist, meaning that I view the individual in the context of their larger lived experience (think of all the influences from the outside world on the individual thought process). I focus on attachment, the physical response to emotions, and emotion regulation to help people be attuned to their true self. Collaboratively, we will identify goals that you'd like to achieve through therapy. You will learn ways to identify and honor your authentic self and to maintain resiliency throughout life's challenges.

My goal is to create a safe environment for you to engage in self-exploration. I would like to invite you to reach out and see if I can help you navigate some of life's hurdles. I offer in-person therapy for individuals, couples, and parent-child relationships. I offer teletherapy for individuals. I am available for supervision towards licensure for LPC, LCSW, and LMFT.
