Klaudia Glogowska
MS | Masters in Counseling (In Supervision toward clinical licensure with Lauren Dobbins)
Hi, I’m Klaudia (she/they), an associate therapist at RWWC.
I work with adolescents (age 14+), adults across the age spectrum, as well as couples and non-dyadic relationships. The individuals I generally see have sought support for issues like depression, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship problems, self-esteem, suicide and/or self-harm related challenges, and grief. The couples I’ve worked with have struggled with betrayal, infidelity, intimacy, and communication.
I am a white, queer, able-bodied, nonbinary Polish immigrant. I have lived most of my life in Philadelphia and graduated from Central High School. I attended the University of Pennsylvania where I studied Experimental Psychology and completed an independent research study examining the intersection of grief, self-transcendent experiences, and spirituality/religiosity.
After graduating from Penn, I began working in addictions research at the Perelman School of Medicine. I have 5+ years of experience working in substance use research, primarily with opioid and alcohol use. Through my research work, I have training and experience with Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) using psilocybin.
I earned my MS in Counseling from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), and am working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in PA. I completed my internship year at a private practice in Philadelphia, where I worked with individuals and couples.
I’ve spent about a decade engaging in various therapy-adjacent practices (authentic relating, circling mediation, meditation/yoga) and incorporate elements of these into my work, when relevant.
My approach is rooted in curiosity about who you understand yourself to be and how you relate to yourself, to others, and to the world. I am a relational therapist, meaning that I tend to work from the perspective that relationships and relational matters are central to one’s experience of mental health– as well as in relationship, exploring what happens between me and a client, in order to help cultivate growth. Clients have described me as present, authentic, and engaged.
Other theoretical approaches I lean on include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Emotions-Focused Therapy (EFT), Existential Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I strive to create a therapy space where clients feel safe, seen and understood. At the same time, I aim to challenge and confront relevant issues to facilitate change. My goal is to create an environment that allows you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, discover and use your strengths, connect with internal and external resources, and expand your ability to “be with all of life.”
As an immigrant, I value the need for diverse perspectives on therapy and wellness and strive to practice in a way that honors my clients’ intersectionality, acknowledging systemic, family, and community issues that deeply impact who we are.
I accept Aetna, Cigna, & IBX insurances.
