Madeleine Lucas

LPC | Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi, I’m Madeleine! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. My goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative space where you can show up authentically, explore life's challenges, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.

I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and the many stressors that come with navigating our lives.

My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own life, and place a lot of value on the therapeutic alliance as a tool for change. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other skills-based approaches to meet your specific needs.

I also practice through a feminist and multicultural lens, recognizing that our identities, relationships, and systems of privilege and oppression shape how we experience the world. I value the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals and recognize the impact that culture, identity, and systemic inequities can have on emotional well-being.

My background includes providing therapy in both school-based and outpatient settings, where I've worked with teens, young adults, and adults facing a variety of mental health concerns. These experiences have strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are, adapt my approach to their individual needs, and foster a therapeutic environment that balances compassion with evidence-based strategies for growth.

I look forward to meeting with you!

I accept Aetna, Cigna, & IBX insurances.
