DBT Group for Couples
A virtual therapy group for couples who want to learn DBT skills together. This group is ideal for couples who want to reduce cycles of conflict, build empathy and presence, strengthen communication, and de-escalate emotionally charged situations without making things worse.
Learning alongside other couples can help reduce shame and isolation while offering a supportive space to practice new skills. Couples will be encouraged to reflect on where skills are currently difficult and how they want to integrate DBT strategies into their relationship.
This group does not replace traditional couples therapy, and current conflicts will not be processed in group. Couples are encouraged to continue attending regular couples sessions, and the group therapist can coordinate with outside couples therapists to support skills integration. Each partner will be billed as a participant of the group.
Group meets Mondays from 5:30pm–7:00pm. Both partners must attend sessions together. The group will be open to 6 couples.
Please check with your insurance about group coverage since each insurance plan is unique in their coverage. Out of pocket rate is $65/session. If you have questions or are interested in joining, please contact us by clicking on the button below and completing an intake request form.
The group will be facilitated by a licensed therapist and a pre-licensed clinician under supervision:
Theo Meyer on Mondays from 5:30pm-7:00pm
