Nicole Lopez
LAPC | Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (In Supervision toward Clinical Licensure with Bernadette Dougherty, PsyD.)
The human experience includes many transitions, such as grief and loss, different life stages, and, most importantly, how we relate to each other. My passions align closely with providing a safe, secure space to guide and support clients struggling in any of these life areas. If you are
experiencing anxiety or depression while navigating through grief, loss, relationships, or substance use, I want to create a space for you to freely share your feelings while we work together towards building resiliency and strength. Throughout my clinical and personal experiences, I’ve come to understand the value and importance of allowing individuals to feel safe being authentic, and my goal is to support you while you build the skills to become and feel empowered.
To attain this goal, I use person-centered and values-based therapeutic approaches to create an individualized and authentic space for each of my clients, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy. I also utilize a blend of evidence-based therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). My hope is to support and guide you through life's stressors while building an authentic and safe therapeutic relationship!
My specialties are:
● Anxiety
● Depression
● Substance use
● Life transitions and relationships
● Grief & Loss
I accept Aetna, Cigna, & IBX insurances.
